Micky was found abandoned with his brother, Tanner in a crate by the side of the road. They were both terrified and traumatized when they were brought to our shelter. Both five-month-old puppies are super sweet, and they both need someone who will be home and can give them puppy training and lots of love and attention. Micky (the fluffy puppy) looks like a shepherd mix and weighs about 20 lbs. His foster mom sees him as “the absolute perfect puppy.” She describes his as “so sweet and soft and fluffy,” and very cuddly. Micky is a bit timid compared to his brother, in that he backs away a bit when strangers come to the house. He has no barking instinct in these moments. He just watches and wags his tail. Micky is extremely smart—he learns quickly and doesn’t need to be told over and again. He is also very social. He loves to fetch and play and tumble about with you, but he especially loves playing with other dogs. At his foster mom’s, he can be found constantly trying to entice the other dogs to come play with me, please!! Micky is great with children of all ages. He is a puppy and
will need training. As noted above, we are looking for someone who will be home most of the time and can give him the love and training he deserves. Micky would be an excellent addition to a home that already has a dog, and a perfect companion dog to that dog. He has just the youthful energy and sense of fun needed to help an older dog rediscover the joys of play and horsing around. Please come visit him, he would love to meet you, and you will fall in love with him, as we all have. PS we are looking for a foster for him asap as well as his current foster has a family medical emergency and can no lonter foster.
