Meet Mia
all about mia:
age- young adult, approximately 2-3 is our guess
breed- some sort of cattle dog mix
okay with dogs? - yes, has consistently been around multiple without issue
okay with cats? - has only seen from a distance and has high prey drive so going to say no
okay with kids? - older kids only due to unknown history and will try to herd small kids.
house trained- very much so. has never had an accident, whines when she needs to go out.
destructive/ chewer- not at all. stays out in the house without issue.
mia came to our rescue after she was seen being pushed out of a truck by a man out of state. she couldn’t be caught so a live trap was set to get her off the road. she had pretty serious barrier aggression (meaning through the cage she was growling at us to get away from her, but as she was in a wire trap, could anyone blame her?) so we took her on and she’s been with me for the last month and a half while I’ve been getting to know more about her. I can definitely see mia doing better in a home with a single person or couple, as she clings to her person pretty fast and takes time to warm up to strangers in the home. she loves to cuddle on the bed, will do anything for a car ride, loves to hike, and be outside. she’s super mellow in the house and will just hang out with me while I’m working during the day. she is not a fan of her kennel and will whine a good amount when she’s in it. the kennel I have in the car however, she will eagerly jump into and ride around for hours without so much as a peep. she responds quickly and sensitively to verbal corrections and was definitely trained at one point as she knows all basic commands. mia is very easy to love. she is loyal, dying for love, and a super fun companion for walks or hikes. she is a quirky dog and has cattle dog tendencies that would do best with someone who had experience with and understands the breed. she can be protective over me when men approach, but hasn’t shown the same towards women. for more information on mia, please email angelasarknc@gmail.com ?
