Meet Merlin (located in Oak Grove)

Merlin is about 5-6 year old and about 70 pounds(working on weight loss). He is a very old soul who loves to cuddle on the couch or hang out in the yard. Merlin does great with other dogs and cats. He is kennel trained and potty trained. Merlin is up to date on all his vaccines, heartworm negative, dewormed, microchipped, and neutered.
Merlin does have the habit of marking things when coming into a new home due to his late in life neuter. With a quick correction of BAD BOY he feels terrible and does not do it again. He will come with belly bands to use if wanted. We only had this issue for the first day or 2 and never again. He has never gone potty in his kennel.

Merlin has slightly sore hips, so he will need to have Cosequin(glucosamine supplement) given daily for the rest of his life. He likes it and eats it easily with his food. This can be purchased online, at Costco/Sam's Club, or at your vet clinic.

Merlin can not live in a home with any children under the age of 5 years old. Merlin has a history with small children and getting overwhelmed leading to a bite. Due to this, Merlin can't live in a home with small children or anyone who is thinking of having children in the next 10 years. All kids must be over the age of 5 years and respectful of dogs and their boundaries. Merlin's issues started with people not setting boundaries for their young children and putting him in a terrible spot. We have seen no aggression at our home and he is very good with teenagers.
Merlin requires a home visit and fenced in yard.
Funny things about Merlin. He likes to sit outside and watch nature. He will play with toys but likes to watch what is happening. He will play with the other dogs and get goofy. Merlin is our motorcycle and snowmobile alert dog. He can hear them way before they get near our home and tells us immediately the danger is near. Once he has alerted and scared them away he happily prances around our yard. Such a good BOY! He does not seem to care if he is inside the house and they go by, just protecting his yard from these offenders.
Merlin also loves to go on walks. He thinks these are great! Recently he got to go on a family vacation to Tennessee. He camped, hiked, and was a fantastic traveler.
