Whose been waiting since August 2021 for a home? It's me, Dennis! Of all the resident dogs at HSHA, I've been here the longest. I'm just a giant puppy looking for a family to help a brotha out. I’m about 65lbs and only 1-2 years old. I was found as a stray in the city. I am really looking for an experienced dog owner because I lack manners sometimes, although I'm getting much better at being a good boy. This is why it is best I live with older children, at least 12 years old. I am super silly, affectionate and just need structure. I do know sit, which is a great start. And I take treats nicely -- watch my video! I am quite strong, so a strong handler who has experience with dogs like me would be fabulous. I will need to be your only pet, for now. I shouldn’t live with cats, but maybe a dog friend in my future could be possible, once I learn some socialization skills. When I see other dogs, I want to meet them, but I don't understand how to introduce myself....and then the other dogs don't want to be around me, which frustrates me! With training, my human friends agree that I might be able to live with other dogs someday. For now, it’s best I am alone. Trust me though, I am plenty of dog for ya! Give me a chance, I will make a great companion with the right family.
