This is Melvin. He is a Terrier/Shepherd mix around 8 months old. I was very shy when I got to my foster mom’s house, but started to come out of my shell within a few hours. I’m still a little nervous, but wag my tail when someone tries to pet me. I love to follow the resident dog around the house and made quick friends with the cat. I’m not really sure what a leash is, but maybe we can work on that. I’m also working on my house training and I think with some consistency I’ll do great. When I want to take a nap I curl up in the crate on my own, I also sleep all night in it without accidents. I’m very food motivated so may be a quick learner. I love to snuugle with you on the couch or I can occupy myself with my chew toys. I am relatively calm and easy going, but if you want to play ball, I am right there with you.

We are presently not holding our regular Saturday adoption clinics due to the Covid-19 virus. We are operating on a limited basis until further notice, but we are still adopting dogs out. We require an approved application before we consider anyone for an adoption - so filling out the application is your first step. Different dogs and puppies go up for adoption EVERY WEEK so please feel free to visit the site and click on the Petfinder link for updates. Puppies and dogs up to 2 years old are $350. Dogs over 2 years old are $250. 100% of the adoption fees go to help us save more dogs.
