Meet Melon Murphy
REQUIREMENTS - Must have secured fenced yard, no other dogs preferred, adult only home. Applications reviewed for Chatham Kent.
Melon Murphy is a newcomer to our foster program. He was pulled from a kill shelter after being removed from a severe neglect situation along with other dogs. His fur was long and very matted.
Date of birth - 2019
He is a very friendly little guy who enjoys taking walks and being around his foster family. He currently lives with other dogs and cats but preference will be given to an adopter who does not have other dogs. Melon Murphy has gotten into fights with other dogs over food and treats. We can only assume he may have had to fight for food in his former situation. Giving him his happiest life where there is no other competition is priority.
When you pick this little lovebug up he melts in your arms, he loves to be held and loved. He has the cutest little underbite as well. He can jump high for a little one of around 10 lbs! Melon gets really excited!
We have not seen him show any interest at this point in toys. He is very motivated for treats and his meals. He is fed in his own area because of the food possession.
If you are looking for a fun little companion who just wants to be loved and return the love, Melon Murphy is your guy!
