Meco Hound & Retriever Mix Palatine, IL

Meco is a big ball of love! Just look at his face…what’s not to love? He likes to play, cuddle for a short bit and then move to his blanket on the floor so he can chew on his toys. This tri-color Retriever/Hound mix is approximately 4 months old, currently weighs 25 pounds and still has some growing to do.

Doing well at potty and crate training, little Meco is an exceptional student who loves to learn. He has already learned the command sit. Meco naps on the floor with his blanket during the day and in his crate at night.

As long as he has his toys, Meco won’t chew your belongings and he doesn’t chew furniture at his foster house. He loves toys, especially squeaky ones and rope tug toys, and has even tried to play fetch. But as a puppy, he may still explore things with his mouth so be ready to substitute a tasty toy.

He’s very curious and likes to explore outside, sniffing at everything. Meco gets along well other dogs he has met. It’ll be a pleasure to take this pup out too, because he does really well on his leash.

If we do not receive any communication from you, the dog may be adopted out at our event prior to 12 pm if the perfect home comes along. :-)

However, visual breed identification is unreliable. We encourage you to select your new companion by considering each dog’s individual personality and pet qualities instead of relying on a breed label that is only a guess. Dogs are individuals.
