Hi, my name is Meatloaf! I'm a PURPLE pawprint, which means I will fit well into a home that meets some specific criteria. Here is what would work best for me in my new home:

-Personality: Playful, friendly, active, goofy
-Can Live with Kids: Unknown history - kids ages 14+ (up to counselor's discretion)
-Can Live with Cats: Unknown history, but would likely be overwhelming - we are recommending no cats
-Can Live with Dogs: As of right now, we are recommending he be the only dog in the home. May change pending further testing.
-Can do Apartment Living: No
-Potty Trained: Appears so!

-Positive Reward Based Obedience Classes Required: Yes, one private lesson

Meatloaf is a big goofy guy looking for his new best friend! He came to us as a stray, so we unfortunately don't know much about his life before the shelter. From what we've seen, Meatloaf is a happy boy who loves people, toys, and snacks. Much like any rescue dog, he is a bit rough around the edges. He would benefit greatly from some stability, a solid routine, and consistent positive reinforcement based training. He knows the basics like "sit" and "down", but he's eager to learn more. Meatloaf does have some skin issues (many pitties do!) and will need to be on a special diet to keep him feeling his best. We're not sure what exactly it is he's allergic to, but potential adopters will need to be willing to work with him to help mitigate his allergy symptoms.
