Max Cockapoo Closter, NJ

Meet Max! Max is an old man who is looking for a quiet and relaxing “forever home” where he can spend the rest of his years. Max is about 11 years old and is said to be a “cockapoo” breed by his former family.

Max appears to be generally in good health. He has a few old man lumps and bumps, and his back legs are a little shaky probably due to some early arthritis. He can do stairs great though and likes to go on walks! He is a bit sneezy, which we are going to have checked at the vet... we think he may suffer from allergies, (but this could be easy to help with proper diet and supplements, such as probiotics).

Max is a Velcro dog who likes to follow his people around. He can live with other pets... but really, he is indifferent to them. He is generally very sweet and affectionate. He shouldn’t go to a home with small children... the ideal home for Max would be a quiet home with adults who are home a lot to spend time with him. Note: he does have a history of lightly nipping a stranger who tried to pick him up. However, we don’t think this would happen with someone he becomes comfortable with.
