Hi, my name is Mavis (red collar)! I'm a PURPLE pawprint, which means I will fit well into most homes . Here is what would work best for me in my new home:
-Personality: Energetic, playful, vocal, still learning!
-Can Live with Kids: Yes, sturdy kids 8+ who can handle a jumpy puppy!
-Can Live with Cats: Unknown history - will need proper,slow introductions to ensure everyone gets along. May be overwhelming for shy or senior kitties who prefer being left alone.
-Can Live with Dogs: Yes, pending an initial introduction done here at the shelter. These pups are under socialized and may be overwhelming to senior dogs.
-Can do Apartment Living: Not recommended, Mavis is a very energetic puppy and can be vocal when left alone.
-Potty Trained: Working on it!
-Bite History: No
-Positive Reward Based Obedience Classes Required: Yes, a 6 week puppy course
-Energy Level: High! High! High!
-Needs Medical Procedure Before Going Home: Yes, a spay and a MC

Mavis is a sweet puppy looking for her forever home! She and her sister Cubby were surrendered when their owner had to deal with some health issues. Mavis is a bit under socialized and will need lots of time and patience to get her comfortable with new situations and people. She definitely needs some brushing up on her manners as she can be very jumpy when she gets excited and needs some work on her leash skills. Mavis loooooves treats and will do anything for a piece of cheese, this will go a long way with her training and will help her blossom into the wonderful dog we know she can be. She has only ever lived with Cubby, but she would benefit from having a dog sibling that can help show her the way. Puppies need a lot of attention so it would be best if her new owner were home more often than not. If you're ready to open your home to Mavis, please fill out an application at the front desk!
