? Meet Maverick! ?

Looking for a sweet and playful companion to join your family? Look no further, because Maverick is here to steal your heart! This handsome 1-2 year old mixed breed boy is an absolute sweetheart, weighing a sturdy 58 lbs.

Maverick's love for people knows no bounds. He adores human companionship and is happiest when he's surrounded by the ones he loves. Whether it's cuddling on the couch, going for a walk, or simply spending quality time together, Maverick's affectionate nature will warm your heart.

Not only does Maverick excel in his interactions with people, but he's also great with other dogs. He's a social butterfly who enjoys the company of his furry friends. If you have a young and playful pup, Maverick would be overjoyed to have a four-legged companion to run and play with.

When it comes to training, Maverick is an eager learner. He's already house and potty trained, making him a well-behaved and reliable housemate. Maverick is also a fan of chew toys and sticks, providing him with both mental stimulation and a way to satisfy his chewing instincts. Additionally, he knows commands such as sit and lay down, and he understands the word "no." With his intelligence and willingness to please, Maverick is ready to learn even more and become an obedient and well-rounded member of your family.

Maverick has an old injury on his pelvis that has healed and does not require surgery. He has been examined by a Veterinarian and had radiographs performed, ensuring that he can run and play without discomfort. This resilient boy doesn't let anything slow him down!

In addition to his playful nature, Maverick is a big fan of belly rubs and enjoys having his head and ears rubbed. He'll gladly shower you with doggy kisses in return for some love and attention.

One of Maverick's unique qualities is his ability to alert you when strangers come to the house. Whether it's the pest control lady or the UPS delivery driver, he'll let you know when someone unfamiliar is at the door.

If you're ready to open your heart and home to a delightful and loving companion, Maverick is eagerly waiting to meet you. With his playful spirit, intelligence, and affectionate nature, he'll be a wonderful addition to an active and caring family. Come meet Maverick today and witness the joy and happiness he brings to every moment. ???

STEPS TO ADOPT:

Read the adoptable’s bio below, including their adoption fee

Go to RARErescue.org and Read our ADOPTION PROCESS page under the "Adopt" section

Complete the  DOG ADOPTION INTEREST FORM (located on our website RARErescue.org)

We understand that it is important to you to find the right fit for your family. We feel the same way! The DOG ADOPTION INTEREST FORM is important and REQUIRED for this reason.

All of our Adoptables are:

Spayed/neutered; Up to date on vaccines; Heartworm tested if six months or older (& kept on heartworm preventative and treated for heartworms if positive when entering our program): Microchipped prior to adoption

BREEDS: We are not breed experts. The breed(s) listed for each adoptable are best guesses or suggestions.

PLEASE NOTE: We are a non-profit organization without municipal or government funding. Veterinary/Medical expenses are constant for an animal rescue. Our adoption fees not only help to provide vetting and care for the animal being adopted, but they also help to cover heartworm treatments and other treatable ailments that many animals, that would otherwise be euthanized, need in order to be made available for adoption.

Please understand that adopting an animal is a LIFETIME COMMITMENT to that animal and there will be veterinary expenses throughout their life that can often cost several hundreds, if not thousands of dollars (without pet insurance), especially without annual checkups and preventative care.  As a potential family for this pet you are responsible for their safety and that includes keeping them on your property.

***If you are not in the middle Tennessee area, transport can potentially be arranged to approved homes, depending on distance and local adaptability. We normally do not allow adoptions outside of 1.5 hours driving distance.
