Mateo (DR7227) Chihuahua & Terrier Mix Concord, NC

Check out this little guy who's available for adoption, Mateo! He's a ten-pound Chihuahua mix, 10 months old. Here's what his foster has to say about him:

"Mateo is very sweet and the perfect lap dog. He loves being outside, especially on the grass, so the best fit would be someone who enjoys taking him for frequent or longer walks, going to the park sometimes, and also spending time with him on the couch. He is crate trained, housebroken, great in the car, and good in the bath. He likes people but can be a little skittish at times. He enjoys the company of other dogs but prefers ones his size or those that are calm and non-threatening. He is very quiet but may bark at other dogs, especially if they are barking at him. Unlike many Chihuahuas, he is not nippy or snappy at all, so I guess he would be good around children of any age, as long as they are gentle with him. I haven't seen him around cats, but my guess is he would do fine if they are relaxed. I think he's going to be snatched up in two seconds flat, so if you are interested in Mateo, please schedule a meet and greet right away!"
