STRICT RULE FOR MARTY: He needs a fully enclosed fence.

2 year old male Border Terrier mix, about 20 pounds.
Marty is a very sweet, cuddly boy who loves people's attention. He is ok with small/medium dogs but will chase cats. Marty is VERY active and playful. He is very food motivated and may be food protective to other dogs. Marty is not a big barker, vocal only when playing.
Marty is very curious and can be an escape artist. He needs a good fenced yard and proactive measures (baby gates) taken at doorways and exits!
He can be a bit of an indoor marker.
In general, he’s young, loves to interact with people and easily motivated by treats so he is proving to be quite trainable. Owner surrender.

Smidget Rescue is not a shelter, and dogs cannot be seen at the Rescue location. All dogs are fostered throughout the Puget Sound area and are brought to the events where they can be met by prospective adopters. If you live within a five-hour radius of Seattle, WA, (such as Portland, Vancouver B.C., etc.), we can arrange for a home visit. If your home seems like a great fit for the dog you would like to adopt, you must then drive to meet the dog at one of our weekend events or at the fosters home.
