The start of Marty's life wasn't pretty. He came to HumaneCNY frail & emaciated, but not only did he survive, he is thriving beautifully, full of love and sweetness and youthful exuberance for life and new adventures. While we are showing him the ABC's of a fulfilled dog's life (i.e., walks on a leash, car rides, play time, regular meals, plenty of water, cuddling & affection), Marty is showing us his amazing potential to be your canine bestie. The dog who was afraid to leave our parking lot just a few short weeks ago now goes happily on walks in a variety of neighborhoods, including even a wooded nature trail. He's a natural for car rides: hops right in, settles down quickly, and doesn't make a peep. Marty is crate friendly, too. He has one in his room and goes into it on his own to rest. He adores people and wants to be as close as he can, from looking lovingly into your eyes to climbing into your lap. The beginning of Marty's life was no bed of roses, and after all this sweet boy has been through he is deserving of a happily ever after.
