This is Mandi and she is a 7-year-old girl with the most soulful brown eyes. It is hard to think about all of the things this sweet husky has seen. Imagining it hurts my heart.

She was born in a puppy mill in New Mexico. She survived abuse, lack of preventative treatments and squalid conditions, all so people could make money by selling her puppies. Her life was a tiny concrete kennel filled with fleas and mud, until two years ago when H3 rescued her.

Since then, she has learned to appreciate the finer things in life, like naps and snacks.

In fact, Mandi loves to lay around all day. She is so low energy, some would call her lazy. Give her a comfy spot in the house or a sunny spot outside to bask in, and she is content for hours. Though if you want her attention, just be late with treat time. She will talk your ear off about it!
