Meet Malcolm

Attention all Boxer and Bulldog lovers!! This beautiful dog has been at an outdoor southern shelter since January of this year. He really needs our help to get into a loving home and start living the "happily-ever-after" part of his life.
Meet Malcolm! This 1-2 year old, sweet boy was recently brought into a high kill shelter along with two other female dogs after they were all abandoned by their former owner. (The other two dogs were already rescued and have found their "forever" homes). Malcolm was on the thin side when brought in but as you can see from his pictures...he has filled out nicely and is now at a very healthy weight for his breed. He currently weighs about 70 lbs. Malcolm is listed as a Boxer mix but we are sure that he has some kind of Bulldog in his breed make-up. Of course, only a DNA test will tell for sure.
We are looking for a potential adopter for Malcolm...even a committed foster home will do..... so that we can provide rescue for him and get him on a transport very soon.
Malcolm is so handsome! He's "a lot of dog" but he wins you over with his boxer-like behaviors. He dances and prances and grabs his own leash to walk himself. He rushes to the fence to greet and kiss every new dog and person he sees. The dog testers at the shelter said that they saw nothing that would make them doubt Malcolm's ability to get along with other dogs, but he will need a handler who can teach him basic manners and a canine playmate who can match his strength and size and exuberance. We are unsure as to how he will do with cats at this time. Extreme caution would need to be taken if there are any cats in his potential home. If you prefer big dogs and love Boxers and similar breeds, then you will love Malcolm.
Malcolm is already neutered and microchipped. He is up-to-date with vaccinations and preventatives. Malcolm recently tested negative for heart-worm disease and is hoping to start packing his bags to prepare for his journey to PA in search of a new home. If you are interested in giving Malcolm a place to go when he arrives on transport, please visit the rescue website at OneLifeToLiveRescue.com and complete the online application. Someone will then contact you to answer any questions that you might have and to discuss our very popular "Foster-to-Adopt" option. Malcolm's suggested adoption donation is $325 in order to help with the vet bills incurred by rescue. Thank you for considering a wonderful, rescued Boxer/Bully Breed/ Mixed-Breed dog!
Our beautiful BIG BOY, Malcolm, hit the jackpot. After sitting in a shelter for SEVEN MONTHS with little to no interest... we took a chance and posted him...hoping that his family would find him. And... guess what!! They did!! ?
Malcolm was "officially" adopted by his Foster-to-Adopt family this afternoon. He is doing fantastic.... and they are IN LOVE with him!! Every dog finds their "happily-ever-after" eventually. Malcolm has a huge fenced-in yard and he is a spoiled boy already. Happy dogs...happy adopters!! That's what we like! ?? Smiles all around! Malcolm will be spending the "happily-ever-after" part of his life in South Scranton, PA!
