Meet Major
Can this scruffy boy steal your heart? Absolutely! Major is ~25 #, and one of the sweetest pups in the litter. He came to us with his mom and seven other littermates from Kentucky when mom was found pregnant and on the streets. Mom is 35# so we believe the pups will be 35-45# as well. Major gets along well with the dogs in his foster home, and he LOVES to play!.
Major is a sweetheart and he is very smart. He is learning quickly about going potty outside amd he sleeps in his crate all night. He is a healthy eater and loves treats... this makes his training a bit easier. He is learning how to sit, and he already responds to his name. He loves cuddles and gets along great with the other dogsbin his foster home from little to big! He wrestles, plays and respects boundaries with other dogs. This outgoing boy would make a great addition to almost any home!
Due to his age, size and personality, adoptive homes should have the following:
- Be located within 500 miles of Adams NY.
- Have previous and current pets in annually at a local veterinary office and up to date on vaccines as well as spayed or neutered.
- Since he is a puppy, he should be okay with both dog savvy cats and active dogs in the home.
- Due to his current size and disposition we are looking for homes with children over five years old.
- Potential owners need to be willing to have current dogs and family members come to a meet and greet to meet the pet and be sure it's an acceptable match.
- Have time available to care for, socialize and start the training of a new pet.
An adoption donation of $450 is being asked to help cover veterinary and care fees. He has been examined, vaccinated, started on flea, tick and heartworm preventative, and neutered.
