Maggie is a low rider meatball queen! We are all obsessed with her and her gentle demeanor, and endearing snorts. She's a happy chunkster who loves being with people. Her whole body happily wiggles when she wants someone to interact with her.

Her foster mom and dad write, "Maggie is the most laid-back pup we've had. She almost 10 and she is the most carefree pup in our neighborhood.

She's made a schedule to her liking. Her bedtime is 9pm and she will nudge you to take her out for her last very short walk. Morning for her is whatever time we want to get up, usually between 8-9.

She's on a special diet which she loves and takes some meds for her allergies. She gets one cup of her special diet at 8-9am and 4pm. At 3pm she thinks it 4pm and will definitely follow you around reminding you of her supper time.

As for play, she'll retrieve maybe twice but don't count on her dropping the toy or ball, she'd prefer to retrieve and then lay on her bed and chew it. She does it her way!

Maggie loves to be petted and belly rubs are her favorite. She'll come up to us on the couch and raises her head then one front paw so we can get to her belly. It's her favorite thing.

Maggie wants to be around people and follows us all around the house. She greets visitors calmly then goes back to lay down.

We live on a bike path with lots of bikers and dog walkers going on the path. Maggie will look up interested but it rarely bothers her. She's a pretty strong dog and we use a split leash on walks and it works great. She however on walks does NOT like other dogs and we just avoid them. She stops and stares at them. Squirrels don't bother her. One big asset is her walks are not very long. She does her business and turns around to go home, especially if the weather is inclement. Her short walks are her secret power. She been taught to not beg for food or go on furniture unless you say, UP. She will then will keep nudging you to pet her-constantly.

Maggie loves her special baths with peanut butter on the wall. When the peanut butter is gone, she politely turns around to be rinsed and dried.

Maggie is a responsible pup and can be left alone for hours. Just give her a treat or her favorite Nyla bone and she's happy to entertain herself. We do not cage her or confine her anymore (we did at the very beginning when she did not know us, nor we her, and I would suggest his for any potential adopter)

Maggie would be great in a home without other dogs. She does love children if the come up slowly to her. She allows them to pet her and does not jump or scare them.

Maggie likes to visit the residents at a local senior center and she brings so much joy to them!"

Maggie's adoption fee has been generously sponsored. This animal is spayed, up to date on core vaccines, and she is Heartworm negative. Maggie does have allergies to certain foods so she is on a prescription diet and takes an allergy medication, which she will likely need to be on for life.
