Meet Maeve

Seemingly part piglet and part cat, this little pocket pitty is truly a breed of her own! You might notice she looks a little different. Maeve has a cleft lip that makes her face look a little silly, but her palate is closed and she’s as healthy as they come!

Maeve was born into a shelter in April 2023 and rescued day one. She was tube fed through weaning, and this constant human contact contributed to an intense love for ALL people. While she enjoys a brief walk, Maeve is a meandering stop-and-smell-the-roses type—but more than that, she’s a stop-and-greet-the-people girl. Maeve is an absolute toy fiend, and has never met a bone or ball or stuffed animal she didn’t want to play with. She’s as silly as she is friendly, and when she’s not entertaining herself with a toy or roughhousing with her fur sister, she can be found suckling a blanket or passed out on the back of the couch, often upside down with legs in the air.

Maeve likes to stay close to her people, and loves cuddling and giving hugs. Maeve has been around kids as young as two and adults as old as 80 and has treated everyone with great care—although it’s worth noting that despite her small size, she’s a bit of a bull in a china shop when the zoomies hit. Maeve would make an exceptional therapy dog with training, or an epic patio buddy. She’s highly food-motivated, but also thrives on affection for a job well done.

Maeve is housebroken (she rings a bell to go outside) and crate trained (although she does voice her frustration if she feels she’s being left out, and has an occasional accident in the crate if she doesn’t potty right before she goes in). Maeve is still a puppy, with puppy energy and puppy curiosity, so she does require supervision. She’d do best in a home with another dog to keep her company and show her the ropes, though with regular socialization she could likely adapt to being an only dog.
