Mae J 6839 Terrier Mix Rogers, AR

Mae J is an incredibly intelligent pup. The photographer set up a diabolical test as he placed a hotdog on the top of the back of a people friendly bench. The slippery metal seat was not purposely canine unfriendly, but it served that function quite well. Mae J tried numerous times to retrieve the treat by stretching up with her front feet on the seat but couldn’t quite reach the tantalizing delicacy. It was frustrating for her as she came within 1 inch of her quest, but she never gave up. It was awe inspiring to watch her focused thought process as she debated the feasibly of different positions to attempt the hotdog sequester. After assuming many positions…. frontal assault, angled sortie, backside surprise and many combinations of these maneuvers, Mae J finally solved the puzzle as she grasped both sides of the bench which enabled her to pull into a position where she delightfully accomplished her mission. Mae J’s resolve and tenacity are astoundingly innate and wonderfully validated. She is fittingly endowed with a vertical white stripe on her face that mirrors the governing meridian energy pathway in both humans and canines.

Mae J is friendly, quiet and when in contact with other canines, assumes the role of school marm as she lovingly teaches them to better their social skills. Mae J received her name in honor of Mae Jemison, a woman who was a physician, an engineer and an astronaut who traveled on the space shuttle Endeavor. Mae J hopes for a home with a human who appreciates living with a canine who will respond to love, affection, and intellectual stimulation.
