Hi everyone, I'm Macey! I was found hanging out in a park in Virginia. Some nice man picked me up and took me to a shelter. I eventually found my way to a foster home, which is great. But I'd much prefer to have a permanent home with a forever family of my own! Could that be with you?
So, let me tell you a little about myself. I LOVE people! I love cuddles! I love snuggling in bed! My favorite spot to hang out is in the corner of the sofa. It's super cozy. I also love treats and snacks! Yum, yum, yum!
I have learned to be a good traveler in the car and sit in the back seat. It turns out the car goes to one of my favorite places...the dog park! I enjoy running with the big dogs and making new friends.
Being a house dog is great! It's so much better than being on the street! But some things about house life are confusing. For example, I find all of this fun stuff around the house that fits perfectly in my mouth. So it must mean it's for me, right? Foster mom says no, though. Apparently they are her things...her shoes, her sunglasses, her key fob! She says because I like to go shopping around the house, I have to stay in a crate when she is gone. It's kind of a bummer, but I will do whatever foster mom says because she gives me love and attention and snacks!
You know what I don't like...small dogs and cats! I had some bad experiences and I just don't like them! I would be happy in a forever home with a doggie playmate who is my size or bigger! I would also be happy in a home where I could be the only dog and get all of the human snuggles for myself! A fenced yard would also be great! Going potty on a leash is stressful. I get shy!
