Oh Lyric how we dread to know your story before arriving to us. Sweet Lyric is 3 years old weighing 46 pounds and is heartworm positive as well. Lyric is so forgiving and very sweet for a dog with some trauma. Lyric came in with a ring around her neck where a collar had been imbedded into her skin, 8 puppies and heartworm positive. Whatever may have happened has caused to have some hesitation to a leash, so we will be recommending she be in a harness for her comfort. As we do all the dogs we have Lyric vetted, after she weaned her adorable babies, and to vets surprise they found a pellet free floating in her abdomen. We are not sure how it got there but we have our suspicions. Lyric has been through it and came out more loving than any dog should giving the cards she was dealt.

Lyric's adoption fee is $200.

All of our animals are provided with age appropriate vaccinations, spayed/neutered and microchipped prior to adoption. To meet our incredible dogs and offer them the love they deserve, stop by PAWS on Friday or Saturday from 10 - 4 PM, call us at 217-243-7297. We do applications in person or over the phone. This deposit is not refundable nor transferable.
