Luna Belgian Shepherd / Malinois Mix Kirkland Lake, ON

This is Luna!

Luna is a 3 year old Belgian Malinois mix. She came into the rescue with a broken back leg. The vets wanted to try splinting it so she's been on strict kennel rest since February. Luckily with a lot of time and care, it's healed very well and she's now looking to be adopted!

Some information from her foster mom:

She's a very sweet girl and full of personality! Loves to snuggle and play with tug toys. She's a pro tail chaser! She's very eager to learn and high energy so, she would need a active family or person that can fulfill her exercise needs and structure in order for her to thrive. She's house trained and loves car rides. She's good with cats and dogs though with dogs if they are very excited and running outside she can also get over the top excited and needs to be told to cool it which she does listen to. Since she has been cooped up due to the strict rest, believe she will calm down once she is able to be properly exercised. She is good with kids though due to her size she may knock young children down!

Tasha Roxburgh, professional dog trainer and owner of DSV K9 Academy has generously offered 5 free private training lessons for Luna (350$ value) if her future adopters would like to partake in them!
