Meet Luna

Meet Luna, a dog our partners rescued in Mexico. She arrived in mid-Jan pregnant. She had a hard birth, Luna had three babies naturally and then stalled, she had to go in for an emergency C-Section. Puppy #4 didn't make it. #5-8 arrived via C-Section and thankfully she recovered and nursed her seven pups into chunky monkeys. Luna is a hard working and attentive mother, but now it is her turn to relax and enjoy loving attention.

Luna is about 35-40 pounds and could put on some extra weight postpartum. She walks well on leash, is well behaved for car rides, has the bladder of a camel, and loves to stalk birds and rabbits from the comforts of my fenced yard. She has a hard time resisting the lure of rabbits on walks so you will need a pocket of treats to distract her.

Luna sleeps in a crate at night, but she also loves to have a cuddle buddy so hoping her forever home will have some cuddle partners. Luna is in foster care in North County San Diego and would love to meet you.
