What?? Another husky?? Yep, they keep coming. But, oh hey! Lets keep breeding them so that we can buy them and dump them.

Sorry for the rant, but this husky thing is getting real old. Notice how many there are in rescue? Almost all of our calls are about huskies needing rescue. Here is a classic example of the lunacy of people buying them from breeders...

This beauty is only one year old. Her short life so far was being stuffed into a too small crate and being relegated to the balcony of an apartment where she was forced to endure any type of weather. We all know what Florida weather is like, so the poor thing cried pitifully all day and night long until a concerned neighbor talked her into letting her have the dog. Her crime was she was "too high energy". Don't even get me started on this one. At least there were caring neighbors within earshot and they did the right thing. Then they called us, and now she is here having a wonderful time playing in the yard and living like a dog actually should live.

We have had Luna now for a week and can tell you that after her initial cautiousness with everyone, she realized that not everyone is out to harm her and she relaxed into the absolute sweetheart she now is. She is getting along great with the other dogs. No idea about cats. Sorry. She is people and kid friendly. Remember, this sweet girl is only 1 year old, so she still has lots of playfulness in her and loads of love to give. She gets spayed next week and will be ready to start her new life with a family who actually understands huskies needs.
