Mateo is an active and incredibly smart boy who likes nothing more than to stretch his legs whether in your backyard or at a park. He’d suit an active family who wants an outgoing and friendly companion! According to Mateo’s foster, he is very well behaved, obedient and knows basic commands. In fact Mateo will ring a bell when he wants to go out as he is house trained. Our boy’s favorite past time is playing fetch and tug of war.

Mateo will thrive in a home with adults or older kids and where he can shine as an only pet.

Our snuggle bug’s adoption fee is $350 which includes being fully vetted, neutered, microchipped and fecal exam. Mateo is 2 years old and currently weighs 60lbs.

Note: All dogs require a $100 cash training deposit. Once confirmation of the completion of a training class has been sent to the rescue, you will receive your deposit back in full. As we are a rescue all of our adult dogs/puppies for adoption must be spayed or neutered. Although we make every attempt to have this done before finding their adoptive families, this is not always possible. Please speak with your adoption coordinator to see of this service has already been performed or they will explain to you if your new dog/puppy will need this service while in your care at no cost to you. Also, for the safety of our dogs we only adopt within a 2 hour radius of Joliet, Illinois, to allow our volunteers to do home checks if necessary.
