Luke Chihuahua Mix Houston, TX

Luke is part of a litter of 5 born to mama Lola in our rescue. The others are Juno, Chester, Chewy, Leia. Their mom, Lola, was rescued off the street by one of our foster moms. After a week or so, we noticed she was getting bigger and the Veterinarian confirmed that she was pregnant! Lola had 5 babies on January 20th, 2022. She was a great mama for the first few days and then she got very very sick and had to go to the emergency room for a blood transfusion. Her body was attacking itself and she was not able to care for her babies. Thankfully, Lola recovered and is now lounging at her foster home. But in the meantime, her babies had to be bottle-fed all the way from the first week of life!

Luke is the zoomie king. He is definitely one to run around playing first before tiring and wanting the snuggles. When he's bored he will make up his own game by grabbing another pup's leg or pouncing on other babies when they run by! He is also a toy thief but only so he will get chased which he loves.
