Lu Lu Great Pyrenees & Saint Bernard Mix Palatine, IL

Hi everyone! My name is Lu Lu, which actually means “one that is remarkable or wonderful” if you look it up. I try my best to live up to that name. I am a Great Pyrenees/Saint Bernard mix. I weigh 50 pounds but since I’m only 5 months old, I have a LOT of growing to do. In fact, my previous owner had to give me up when it became clear I was going to be a big girl. Though I can’t control my size, I can control what I do, so I will try my hardest to please you!

I am quickly picking up on house training. With a regular schedule, I am good to go! In the crate, I take a few minutes to settle down but overall I am fine in there. I sleep through the night in the crate with no accidents. During the day, I like to nap on my dog bed. Sometimes I try to get up on furniture but my paws are so big that I usually fall over trying to get up there…I’m a bit clumsy, but I try my best!

I love all sorts of food, but my favorite is probably peanut butter. I do like to explore with my mouth, so sometimes I accidentally put things in my mouth that I’m not supposed to. But I’m easily redirected to my own toys.

My foster mom describes me as an easy-going social butterfly who loves attention and has a tail that’s constantly wagging. It’s true — I enjoy everything! Playing with other dogs and children, going on walks, getting belly rubs…it’s all good! Personally, though, I think people are the best part of life. I have so much love to give and I’m hoping you want some of it. Meet me at the show this Saturday?

If we do not receive any communication from you, the dog may be adopted out at our event prior to 12 pm if the perfect home comes along. :-)

However, visual breed identification is unreliable. We encourage you to select your new companion by considering each dog’s individual personality and pet qualities instead of relying on a breed label that is only a guess. Dogs are individuals.
