Loveable Lou Flat-Coated Retriever & Chocolate Labrador Retriever Mix Montclair, NJ

My name is Lovable Lou and I’m a 3 year old rescue from Puerto Rico. I’ve been living in Brooklyn for the past year with my mom and dog step-sister, Chewie (a 14 yr old pomeranian). My mom says I’m very smart and sweet, and I’ve learned to walk on leash and sit and come. I love people and happily greet anyone I meet at the door or on the street, including delivery persons and children, and will gently come to you for pets. I am very calm at home but have anxiety when I’m outside in the city. I am still afraid of other big dogs and the loud noises and buses, so I am anxious on my walks and have some leash reactivity with other dogs. I am living with a small dog now, and we get along fine, but my ideal home would be outside the city, where it’s quieter and I have more space to run and play. I absolutely love people, am very affectionate and am happy to be your best friend, always by your side, ready to play or cuddle. My mom says I’m a very good boy and is confident I will find my happy, loving forever home. As much as my mom loves me she thinks it would be best if I lived in a home outside of the city.
