Louise Terrier Mix Joliet, IL

This beautiful girl goes by Louise. She is about 25 pounds and is at best guess an Aussie min pin mix. She loves all dogs and cats too! She is going to need a home with a fenced yard and a dog buddy (or more) to succeed as other dogs lend her confidence. She has good house manners, is potty trained and working on basic commands. Louise did not have the best start. Somewhere along the way she decided she could not easily trust humans. She wants to and she does not want to hurt anyone but trust does not come easy for this girl. She will need just the right home. A busy home with too much coming and going would not be a fit for her. Nor would small kids though she is good with my older kids and interactive. She does not want them to pet her she will gladly take treats and they even taught her to sit. She and I are close so I know she can do it! She is still just a baby and deserves to get settled into a forever home as soon as possible so she can bloom there and become the dog she should be. She deserves a bright future.


Our adoption process is usually quick, but may take up to two weeks. When you find an animal you are interested in, we ask that you fill out an application as a first step so we can determine if your family is a good fit for the animal. If you are, then we will contact you to arrange a time for you and your family to meet the animal so you can decide if it is a good fit. If you currently have dogs, we require that the dogs be present at the meeting to make sure it's a good fit all around. Once compatibility is determined, we move on to the paperwork and finalize the adoption.

If the meet is not a good fit, we will keep your application on file for 6 months and we will gladly consider your family for another dog.
