Meet the Uber handsome and equally sassy and scruffy Louie!

This handsome SMALL BREED tan and cream scruffy Shih
Tzu/Bichon mix puppy is 9 weeks old and currently weighs 6 pounds. Louie’s mom weighed 14 pounds and Louie is expected to be close in size to his momma.

Louie entered our rescue when he was 4 weeks old and we rescued his mom and gave her a safe space to finish raising her boys. Louie’s mom did an amazing job raising her babies and has been adopted and now it is her babies turn!

Louie is a typical small breed puppy - Sassy, Silly, and SPUNKY. He can usually be found “investigating” all the things and reporting his findings back to his foster mom and brother. He is the first one to run out for playtime and the last one to tucker out for a nap. He is joyful and sassy and perfect for someone who likes to be kept on their toes and loves to laugh at puppy antics. He pushes boundaries and talks back and has an independent nature. When he is done playing, he loves to tuck himself into a big fluffy dog bed and blanket to take a long nap.

He is working hard on house training in his foster home, but like all small breed puppies, he has a small bladder and currently is only able to go without potty breaks for 2-3 hours during the day and 5 overnight. His deal home will have someone ready to continue a consistent routine/structure with house training and learning manners. Puppy training is a time consuming process that requires patience, and his perfect home will understand that he needs consistency, structure, and training and be able to put that time in while he is young.

Louie’s ideal forever home will have another playful dog or dogs and maybe even some dog savvy/older kids of his very own! He is good with other dogs big and small and good with cats. Louie will not be adopted to a home without another accepting dog. Louie’s perfect home would have older children only who can interact with his small stature safely. With continued puppy training, this handsome and spunky dude is going to make a great life-long companion.

Louie deserves the best forever home and like always we are not first come first serve- we will want a mutual adoption decision from both the potential adopter and Louie himself. We are always looking for the very best fit for both you AND the dog.

All dogs are spayed/neutered, current on age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped, dewormed, and current on flea/tick/heartworm prevention. The adoption fee is $200.
