Oh hi, I’m Lola! I recently had some puppies, even though I'm only about a year old, so while they’re off starting their new lives, I get to start mine! I’m your standard chihuahua, but all the good traits, not the bad.

My tail is always wagging, I love all new people, do some fun dances when I get excited, and wait until you see my jumps! I love playing, specifically with balls and have proven I can successfully pick up a standard size tennis ball on my own. I’m full of personality, and a big personality at that. I can be a bit dominant but do fine coexisting with other dominant dogs as long as we are introduced properly and have time and boundaries to figure each other out.

Despite my size (a whopping 7 pounds), I’m a master at the stairs and can go up/down just as fast as you! Potty training has been a breeze and with repetition the transition should be pretty easy, but dogs will take a few steps back at first in a new environment.

I love wrapping my night up by finding a comfy bed to sleep in, or a blanket to curl up on. One thing to know about me, is I make “chihuahua noises” so it’s important for my new home to know that those are my “play” noises, I’m not being mean or aggressive. I can also get a bit “mouthy” when I play and “lunge” when I get excited to see people so small children may not be best for me. Overall, I’ve been a fantastic dog and have exceeded expectations in my foster home, I hope I can join your home to show you how great of a dog I can be!

Lola is spayed, microchipped, heart worm tested, up to date on core vaccines, and started on monthly flea/tick/heartworm preventatives.

Adoption fee is $550.00 + tax (no checks)

Ask the foster if Lola will be attending an upcoming adoption event at the Lakeville PetSmart on Saturday from 11-2pm.

Our fosters do the best they can to provide all information about the animal's background and temperament while in foster care in their home. An adopters routine and home environment is likely going to be different than that in their foster home.

Sometimes there is more that comes out about a dog's personality once they have been able to settle in a home and truly become comfortable. There are great articles out there written about the different stages a pet goes through after adoption, discussing transitions that happen at 3 days, 3 weeks, and 3 months. We highly recommend reading about this - it will help you understand the transition your new pet goes through.
