Meet Linus
Meet Linus!
Mountain Cur mix - approx 5-6 months old - currently 35lbs
Linus and his partner in crime, Charlie Brown, were found as strays who ended up in a high-kill shelter. When NFR Rescue went to the shelter to pull some dogs, Linus was carrying around a blanket in his mouth. He was very sweet, so the rescue knew Linus needed his freedom ride (Charlie Brown came too but he's already been adopted).
Linus is a VERY sweet boy who loves dogs and people. His exposure has been with kids 5+, and he enjoys snuggling with them but will take a pass on cats (unless it's a cat that will put him in his place when he tries to chase).
In typical puppy fashion, Linus is playful with normal puppy energy and then after a session of play, he's ready for a nap. He is coming along nicely with housetraining and leash training. He sleeps in the crate at night but would rather cuddle up to his human in bed - he promises not to hog the blankets.
Linus would LOVE a fenced yard to run and play freely but not required as long as he gets his daily exercise. Linus would do best in a rural environment because loud outside noises/cars, etc. are scary for him but he's making progress every day in his foster home so we believe with exposure and positive reinforcement, Linus would adjust fine. But a nice natural trail is always welcomed - or again, just chillin in his own backyard would be fine too. Oh, and he rides nicely in the car and even buckles up - safety first.
If you are looking for a master lovebug who likes to play, nap and be with his doggie and human friends, Linus is the brindle boy for you!
Linus is estimated to be medium full grown. He is up to date on vaccines, neutered, microchipped, dewormed and current on monthly flea/tick/heartworm preventatives. His adoption fee is $525 so get your application in today!
