Meet Lily

PLEASE before you email us with any questions PLEASE visit our official website directly for more information and availability of our dogs. www.arizonacattledogrescue.org

The first step to meeting any of our dogs is to submit an application. It in no way obligates you to adopt, it is simply part of our process. If the dog you are interested in is adopted before you can meet them or if we do not currently have a dog you are interested in we still encourage you to go through the approval process. Then you will be pre-approved and ready to adopt when a dog does come along that you are interested in. Apply at www.arizonacattledogrescue.org

Lily is a female 4 year old and came from a family that could no longer care for her. She appears to be a cattle dog / pit mix and is 60lbs of pure love. She spent much of her time in a crate before staying with her current fosters but has loved the chance to play and run in a yard again. Lily knows most obedience commands but is still learning, she is very smart however and responds well to training. She is initially shy with new people and would benefit from a home with a woman in it as she can be fearful of men in the beginning (she does warm up to them, but fair warning - she shows favoritism to the women in the house!)

After slow introductions she was able to fit right in with her male dog roommate as well as two cats, she plays with them all and enjoys every minute of it however we have not introduced her to any children yet so we are unsure of kids. She loves to be loved and is ready for a home with lots of ear scratches! She always likes to be involved but is not a huge cuddler. She benefits greatly from having her own space in the house and loves to take her chew toys there. She is not afraid of going back in a crate, but currently is not crated as she is well behaved when left alone. She is spayed, up date on shots, and is currently staying in the Maricopa area.
