Meet Leo
Leo is crate trained and that’s his safe space. He is learning house training, so needs to be let outside regularly. He is also learning his leash manners. He came to us with almost no socialization and has come such a long way. He is a shy guy at first but warms up quickly, so will want an adopter who will give him the time to transition into a new home. Leo needs an active family who can take him on walks and who is looking for a cuddly companion. He is still very much a puppy and gets into mischief, he has also shown some guarding around food (he is doing much better), so is not the right pup for a family with young children. He is very smart, and enjoys learning so much. He would benefit from a basic obedience class for the socialization and general continued learning.
He just had his first grooming and even though he was a little wiggly he had no issue with the groomer or dryer. He is a healthy eater and he loves to snack on raw carrots! He’s highly food motivated so eager to learn. He’s already learned to “sit” and is working on “stay.” He has shown some been resource guarding around food and we have been working on that so I would recommend feeding him separately if you have another dog.
Leo is in Los Angeles. He is aged to be 8-12 months old, and does not shed. Leo weighs about 18 pounds, he is neutered microchipped and current on his vaccines. He is recovering from a fractured front leg, his recovery is going well and he’s regaining his strength. We are now accepting adoption applications for Leo https://bichonrescuebrigade.org/adopt/adoption-form/
