LeAnne Rimes, aka Squeakers, is such a great dog and guesstimated to be about 2 years old. She has a big personality for such a small dog (9lbs). She squeaks when we come home for the day or before our walks, it is adorable and that is why we call her “Squeakers”.
She tolerates my large dog, but is much more comfortable with smaller dogs. Not sure about cats, but she does not like squirrels . Great with my 13-year-old, but we are not sure about younger children, although we haven’t seen her display any aggressive behaviors.
We are working on basic commands, but she still needs more practice and continued training. She will tolerate the crate, but she usually cries and trembles and would prefer to snuggle on her dog bed or at the foot of yours. Just make sure you have some blankets near by, she’s a snuggle bug.
I would say she is 80 percent potty trained. Just a few accidents so far, but in all fairness, I didn’t want to go out in the storm either.
A little nervous in the car, but she’s figuring out that those rides sometimes land us at a park or trail, sohe’s a little more excited about it now.
She’s a sweet dog and will make an amazing companion.
If interested, we recommend submitting an adoption application at: www.foothilldogrescue.org
