Lacey loves being outdoors and having freedom to explore and hunt in a secure yard. She is learning to be in a foster home with other dogs and is beginning to initiate play with foster siblings. She enjoys being in the yard or same room with her foster siblings, but does enjoy having some personal space. Her comfort level with dogs in the foster home increases every day. Lacey has been around children and loves them. Her ideal home would include children. Lacey enjoys being in close proximity to people, so her ideal home would be with a family that works from home or is home for much of the day. Lacey does have some mild separation anxiety and will cry when left in a room by herself, but she settles very quickly and will quiet. Lacey does well in a crate. She enters willingly and will nap or sleep through the night in her crate. Lacey loves bed snuggles and watching tv on the couch with her people. Lacey is housetrained and will go to the door and quietly ask to go outside. She does not bark or whine, but she will stand and patiently wait to be let outside. She has not had any potty accidents in her foster home. One of the funniest things that Lacey does is try to climb into a lap when someone is sitting in a chair. She will put her front paws on a lap, but is looking for an invitation or lift assist to climb right up. Her foster family thinks that she is a great dog! She would be an easy one for them to adopt if they weren't already full. Someone will be lucky to adopt her.
