Meet Kuna

Hi there! My name is Kuna and I am one adorable 8-year-old, ~50 pound furball.

I am a mix of collie, McNab, and Shepherd breeds, and I LOVE making new friends of all kinds- people, kids, and even other dogs! I am a big fan of snuggles, belly rubs, and ear rubs- any kind of love you're willing to give me, really! My foster mom says I am a "velcro dog" because I always want to be close to my humans.

I don't want to brag, but I am one smart dog. I already knew a lot of commands (sit, stay, jump shake) and my foster parents are teaching me some new things and they are amazed at how quickly I pick things up. I am very treat (and praise) motivated and love to learn.

My former owner thought I would be perfect as a therapy dog because of my friendly personality and love of snuggles and pets. My foster mom agrees and thinks it would be amazing for me to have a job like that! They think I would love to visit hospitals, care homes, or schools where I could meet new people and give and receive affection.

I am currently looking for a new home because my previous home was on a busy road, and I kept escaping my fenced yard when left alone. My former owner thinks it's best for me to move to a home with a very secure fence where I won't be at risk of getting hit by a car. Safety first!

I have had some food sensitivity issues in the past, which led to bladder stone formation and bladder surgery. I am currently on a homemade diet that helps me feel much better! I have been on this diet for over a year now and haven't had any more issues.

I am very well-behaved on and off-leash, and I love going on adventures with my humans. Whether it's camping, hiking, kayaking, or just going for a walk, I am always ready for some fun outdoor activities. I already have my own backpack and life vest so I am ready to go. My foster dad is a runner and he says I am an excellent running companion. So, if you're looking for a furry companion to share your adventures with, look no further than me!
