Hey there, I’m Koogee!

I’m a 53-pound bundle of joy looking for my forever home. I came to Precious Paws from a northern Ontario community, my family didn't have time for an energetic puppy like me, so now I'm in a foster home until I get adopted! Here’s a bit more about me:

I’m house and crate trained, although I do get a bit vocal when I first go in my crate. Once I settle, though, I sleep like a baby for about 8 hours a night. I’m also learning leash manners, but I do get a bit excited when I see squirrels or birds. I’m working on it, though! I’m a quick learner, especially when there are treats involved.

I love being outside and spending time with my people. I’m a bit excitable and goofy, and I’m learning to have quiet time too. I get along great with other dogs and love to play with them, I've even been to a local doggy daycare which was so much fun! I’m also great with people, I just sometimes I get a bit too excited and might jump up to say hello. I’m a big fan of cuddles and belly rubs, and I’ll do just about anything for a tasty treat.

I've been getting used to life down here in the "South" and while at first I wasn't a fan of driving in the car, I've made some great progress and am now a good traveller. I’m not too keen on small animals – they look like they’d be fun to chase! I love going for walks and exploring new places, and admittedly, I can get a bit distracted if I see something exciting. The world is just full of excitement!

I’m looking for a patient, active family who can keep up with my energy and help me be the best dog I can be. I’d love a home with a fenced yard where I can run and play, and maybe another playful dog to keep me company. I’d also do well with older, dog-savvy children who understand that I’m still learning.
