Hi, my name is Knute! I’m a RED pawprint, which means I need an experienced home that meets some specific criteria. Here is what would work best for me in my new home:

-Personality: Active/energetic, intelligent, adventure buddy, affectionate when comfortable

-Can Live with Kids: Unknown history, would likely do best with strong, dog-savvy older kids/teenagers (recommending 14+)

-Can Live with Cats: No- Knute has a very high prey drive and needs a cat-free home.

-Can Live with Dogs: No, due to owner-reported resource guarding issues with other dogs, Knute would prefer to be the only pup in the home. She does, however, enjoy the occasional playdate with known dog friends. She regularly goes to playgroup here at the shelter and does well!

-Can do Apartment Living: Not recommended- this high energy lady would love a home with a yard!

-Potty Trained: Yes

-Bite History: No

-Positive Reward Based Obedience Classes Required: Not required but would certainly be beneficial!

-Energy Level: High

-Needs Medical Procedure Before Going Home: No

-Additional Information: Knute is a high energy, super fun, action-packed pup who needs an adventure buddy who can keep up! She's one smart cookie and would thrive in a home that can continue her training and provide her with plenty of exercise and mental stimulation to keep her occupied, engaged, and out of trouble :) Being a high energy, high intelligence dog in a shelter environment is hard and we are working on training her and keeping her mind busy. Knute is affectionate, attentive, and is going to make an awesome adventure buddy for the right person.
