Meet Knial
"You give loyalty, you'll get it back. You give love, you'll get it back." -- Tommy Lasorda
Why hello there! Knial here. I am a 3-year-old, 73-pound, Yellow Lab mix gent. I am looking for a special someone to be a loving and loyal companion to. My person will need to be patient while I get more comfortable and gain confidence in my new home. I will eventually reward that patience with love and loyalty.
I will need a calm, quiet home with a privacy fenced yard and no children, as sudden movements and loud noises are scary for me. I am pretty apprehensive when first meeting new people, so I need lots of time and space to warm up to them. Despite my cautious personality, I am sweet as pie; I just need a little time to decompress when my environment changes. Patience is a virtue :) Once I feel safe, I will be ready to receive ALL the pets!
I get along great with other dogs, and it would be best for me to have a canine buddy to play with and to help me feel more secure. I love to run and wrestle with my foster dog friends, and I have been known to groom the cat (Hey, cats need love too!).
I'm really smart! I am a house trained champ! When I'm told to "kennel" I immediately drop to the floor for a belly rub. After my hoomans comply, THEN I will go into the kennel! Once in there, I am a very well-behaved boy.
I do still pull a bit on my leash, so a harness might be a good idea for me on walks. I love snuggles, belly rubs, and playing with toys. I'm working on learning how to fetch.
I hope you will consider making me part of your family. Fill out an adoption application today!!
My adoption fee is Sponsored and includes my spay/neuter, vaccinations, wellness exam, heartworm test, and microchip!
