Ideal home: Kiwi would do so well in a home with another calm dog but could also be just fine as a solo dog. He would benefit from a backyard where he can play. Someone who is willing to continue training him for his puppy quirks and will be aware that he will steal and destroy items if you don't have an eye on him. Kiwi needs someone who is looking for a sweet, loving and loyal cuddle bug, but understands that he is still young and learning.

Good with dogs: Working on dog reactivity on the leash. If a dog is barking at him, Kiwi will bark back and want to jump at them. If they're quiet he's typically okay and his foster's keep him moving with treats and redirection. He loves the foster's dog so much and they play so well. He's been good with new dogs visiting the home as well, he likes slower calmer dogs but adjusts to the higher paced dogs as well.

Good with strangers: Loves people! Working on not jumping when greeting, and he's improving. He knows sit really well.
Guarding issues: None seen
Behavioural issues: No
House trained: Yes
Crate trained: Kiwi sleeps in the crate all night no problem and goes in easily when you say crate. He's always rewarded with a treat and is now very quick to settle!
Separation anxiety: None seen. Kiwi has been left alone 2-3 hours with no issues.
Destructive: He can be destructive if left alone outside of the crate, he likes to counter and table surf
Leash skills: He’s improving, but skittish at first. It took awhile for him to poo on a walk and now he consistently pees on walks too!

Other notes such as overall observations, personality, etc: Kiwi is such a sweet boy who loves love and his people and dog friends. He's excitable but will settle when you're around. He's so good in his crate and loves food! He is still working on walking past other dogs on walks when they are barking and he has a habit of counter surfing, but he is a quick learner and improving each day.
