Meet Kira!

Kira is a stunning and intelligent girl looking for her forever person/people. She came to us as a puppy and was adopted out, but unfortunately returned due to her tendency to resource guard. Kira is loving, sweet and VERY intelligent but would do best with an experienced dog handler due to her resource guarding. Kira is crate-trained, house-trained and has gone through a rigorous 6 week training course. She knows and follows several commands, including "place" and "break" (When she is permitted to leave "place"). Kira loves to play and follow commands, would make a wonderful companion for someone interested in a dog to work with (She may even do well in a sport if taught appropriately). She would be the perfect running partner with a person she trusts - Kira wants to know/follow commands and rules. She does very well in a crate, but will resource guard that as well (Will be reactive upon closing of door and protective of food/toys/treats that she only receives in her kennel). Kira is a lovely dog and would make a wonderful companion for someone willing to understand work with her behavior.
