Kafray Jack Russell Terrier Bradenton, FL

Kafray is an adorable 9ish yr old, 7lb terrier mix that will be your faithful companion & constant shadow. He loves everyone and gives lots of kisses!!
Kafray is deaf but doesnt miss a beat. His excellent sniffer helps makes up for his loss of hearing. He is smart and acclimated to his foster home quickly. He follows his person everywhere and watches so he doesn't lose you.
Kaffray is easy-going & gets along perfectly with his two foster siblings and children in the neighborhood. He likes to run around in the fenced yard and especially loves to roll on his back in the grass (see video). Kafray is house trained and walks very well on a leash.
He wears an air tag on his collar so we can always locate him.
We are working on putting some weight on this little guy as he was pretty thin when he came to us.
Kafray will need thyroid meds for the rest of his life. He takes his pills nicely in a treat with his morning & evening meal.
Believe it or not Kafray (Jack) loves to do zoomies around our fenced yard like a maniac!! He has run full blast into the pool and the lagoon already. He is a good swimmer (I am not!). He now has a life vest with a little blue fin on top! He wears it outside during the day (supervised) and we only let him out on a leash at night.
He is the sweetest thing. My husband wants to keep him but I’m allergic to him!
He has to be touching me at all times. Probably because he is deaf. The only time we even think about him, and death is, if we call him he doesn’t come!! We love him!
Anyway… he needs someone with a fenced in yard. He is an escape artist and always looking for a hole in the fence or an open gate. Needs someone fast to catch him!
He is super curious, learns quickly, barks when left alone but settles down after a long while (no apartments). He is good with out grandkids. Very gentle and sweet. Loves other dogs and not food or toy guarder.

All UnderDogs are spayed/neutered, heartworm checked, microchipped, up to date on vaccines and heartworm/flea/tick preventatives. For consideration for one or more dogs, we require that an on-line application is filled out.

Sorry, we do not adopt outside of Florida. Applicants are subject to a home visit, and veterinary references will be checked. Please include a vet reference (including phone number) when applying online.

Our application process:
FIRST, an application must be approved for adoption from our rescue.
SECOND, we determine whether the dog that has been applied for is a "good match" for the household that wants to adopt him/her. We take into consideration the dog's activity level, compatibility with other members of the household (human and other pets), etc.
If your application has been approved, but the dog you applied for is no longer available, please take the time and look over our adoptable dogs again. We will make every effort to find the right dog for an approved applicant.
