Located at ACCT Philly, 111 W Hunting Park Avenue, Philadelphia PA !!!Jumper A44092457Intake Type: (3/29) Stray -- Police Drop Off Videos:Jumper Getting Dusty! -- https://photos.app.goo.gl/YhiV1jcx298cyYtw5Weight: 72lbsMedical Observation:(4/3) Vet Check -- Incision and sutures intact one day post-op. Patient appears comfortable and is fully weight bearing. Monitor and remove sutures in 9 days. (4/2) Vet Check -- Patient was in a dog fight that led to multiple puncture wounds, including a punch on the right front paw that hit an artery, resulting in significant hemorrhage. Patient was sedated, puncture wounds were scrubbed with chlorhexidine on the pad/iodine on the face and wounds were thoroughly flushed with sterile saline. A cruciate suture was placed with 4-0 nylon suture in the paw puncture and a pressure bandage was applied for 20 minutes post-op. When removed, no bleeding or swelling was observed from the puncture. Submitting coag, CBC and chem to assess for underlying causes for severe bleed. (3/29) PE: Hair thinning around tailBehavior Observation:(4/19) Per Staff --Jumper is easily leashed and removed from kennel with tail wagging. He pulls slightly through shelter and through parking lot. In yard, spends a few minutes exploring, urinating and defecating before checking in with handler for affection. Allows handling and pets all over with a loose body and tail wagging. Shows no interest in toys in yard. Pulls slightly into shelter. Allowed time in office. After a few minutes of exploring, settles onto dog bed to enjoy a peanut butter sandwich and stuffed toy. Easily returned to kennel and leash easily removed.(4/15) Per Staff -- Easy to leash, pulls moderate on leash, allows all handling, solicits attention from handler.(4/3) Per Vet Staff -- Friendly and tolerant (4/2) Per Vet Staff -- Friendly prior to sedation(3/29) Per Lifesaving -- calm, sweet, allows all handling ++Bite Details++(4/2) Aco's dropped off Jumper at location. Foster went to take the dog for a walk around outside when he spotted another person who lives in her building with their dog. Jumper pulled her, attacked the other dog, neighbors had to squirt with water to get him to release and then reactive bit the owner of that dog. Police were called to the scene and served her with a citation for the attack. Aco's came back and received Jumper from her to return to the shelter.This animal may be available through ACCT Philly's Adoption Program.
