Josias German Shepherd Dog Roseburg, OR

Josias is an approx 2-3 yo male Black GSD with some tan on his lower legs.
He was originally rescued from a high kill CA shelter and was a hopeful Service Dog prospect. While he has excelled in scent work (and would be a great HRD candidate for Search and Rescue) he was washed from SDIT due to being not fully comfortable in public with lots of scary distractions. Winnie does get nervous about stuff. He is not able to completely focus on his handler in the way that a service dog is needing to.
Josias is currently in a home with other dogs (hangs with a pack of 5 other dogs) his only issue is with intact male dogs as he will not tolerate an intact male dog.
Initially, he was tested with cats and was fine however, he has not been exposed to them much over the last year. Has lived with small breeds but he is kind of a bull in a china shop at times so he can be a bit oblivious about being cautious around them.
Josias needs mental stimulation as he is incredibly smart, loves following his nose, loves training, car rides and adventures but more than anything he loves his people.
We are looking for a home where someone plans to continue with further training to keep him grounded and happy.
