John Lurcher Winter Park, FL

John is a stunning 3 year old lurcher, born 1/1/21.
He’s got a thick, soft coat you can rub for hours! John loves toys & the furniture. He’ll rummage through the toy bin, then lay on the couch contently squeaking a toy. He wants to be your personal teddy bear too and will ensure to snuggle you at night.

He’s a little strong on the leash, but overall walks great. He can even be walked with another dog by one person. He gets along with other dogs, but most of all, loves people — tiny humans included! He’ll stand up to give you a big bear hug.
A lurcher is a greyhound mix - we aren’t sure what John is mixed with, but it’s something furry, so anyone thinking of adding this hunk to their family mustn’t mind some extra “dog glitter”.

John can live with smaller dogs, but we are unsure about cats. John is pretty easygoing - he could be happy as an only dog or with a pack, with or without a yard. He is super affectionate, playful and silly.

Thanks to The Haven Rescue for saving this boy. John spent TEN months in a kennel - stressed, spinning - just waiting for his euthanasia day until our amazing friends pulled him & asked us to consider taking him to the US since finding him a home in Ireland was slim. Let’s show everyone just how desirable a pup like John is!
