Meet Sweet Joe
This sweet boy right here is pure JOY. In fact, we should've name him JOY instead of JOE. He is all things good and happy. Joe loves toys, people and other dogs.
You would never have known that Joe lived most of his life on an awful cable. That is until an amazing person was brave enough to step in and save Joe from that life, cutting the very cable that was painfully embedded in his neck.
Joe was then taken to a rural Arkansas shelter with very little foot traffic, so this friendly, social dude sat and sat and SAT. As the shelter grew more crowded, things weren't looking so good for Joe. One of the volunteers knew how special Joe was, so she frantically reached out to every rescue she could.
Ruby's was able to help, because a foster said "I'll take Joe!" and here we are.
Joe is about 55 lbs and 3 years old. He has been neutered and is UTD on all vaccinations. Joe recently completed HW treatment and is ready for his forever family. We would love to see Joe in a comfy, loving home to complete his treatment.
Joe takes treats and toys ever so gently. When someone walks up to him, Joe sits down (he never jumps). He will lean into someone when they love on him, eventually melting into the floor. He is the perfect definition of a good, faithful and forgiving dog. This is a submissive loving boy who desperately wants his own family.
Please consider Joe as your family member. He has waited so long to live inside, have a comfy bed and his very own loving humans.
