UPDATE

Whoever adopts Jerry will be adding a well trained and socialized dog to their family. His foster mom is an experienced dog trainer and has been working with him. She says Jerry is so smart and catches on quickly.

He knows "sit" and "come" and he walks great on leash. Currently working on off leash work and he is catching on well.

He has been fully house trained for awhile.

Hi, I’m a good boy named Jerry.  When I first met my foster family, I was a bit shy but I warmed up quickly.  I love playing with their 5 y.o. pittie Leroy, I play a little rough but correct well.  When Leroy gets tired he lets me know and I grab a toy or a ball and play really well all by myself.  I really like other dogs, big or small, I like them all.  

Something happened to my back right paw either at birth or in an accident so I sometimes walk 3-legged.  I still use my paw depending on what I am doing and depending on the surface I am walking on.  I do not like to put my paw down on rough outdoor surfaces such as gravel.  The vet has looked at my paw and gave me the OK to keep it and said that it is not painful.  My paw does not slow me down, I can still run, adventure, jump in/out of the car, and go for long walks.  
I did not have leash training or basic obedience when I got here.  They are teaching me a lot and I am learning quickly.  I love verbal praise and I have learned that I love physical touch and snuggling.  I am very gentle with treats, food, toys and I don’t mind sharing them.  Overall, I am a really sweet pup with a lot of love to give.  I need my new family to build on the training that I am learning here and I will be a model pup in no time.  

I’m completely house trained and go to the door when I need to be let out. I’m crate trained but have been so good I don’t spend much time crated.

I love children!!!!!!!

I’m 10 months old and 55 pounds. I was rescued from the pound so I can be adopted and live the best life ever.
