Meet Jenny!

Jenny is a sweet and intelligent companion who thrives on love and positive reinforcement. She is an athlete who loves to play and go on adventures! She needs a home with a fenced in yard as she loves to run and play with her jolly ball, which she could do for hours! Jenny embodies a natural sense of protectiveness, demonstrating her loyalty and dedication to those she cares about. While she may initially bark at new people or other dogs through a fence, it's a testament to her innate instincts to keep her loved ones safe. This admirable trait adds depth to her character and makes her an ideal companion for someone seeking a loyal and devoted furry friend. She can be shy at first, but she is very food-motivated, and that usually does the trick to win her over!

Resilient and determined, Jenny has overcome significant challenges to become the loving pup she is today. Initially found as a stray with demodex mange and painful paws, she has blossomed in her foster home. Her mange is now cleared, her paws have healed, and she’s ready for her next adventure. This petite shepherd-looking beauty, weighing in at around 44 lbs. Jenny is not only beautiful but also smart and quick to pick up commands. Despite her initial shyness, she warms up quickly to new people, offering kisses and hugs in no time. If you're ready to open your heart and home to this resilient and loving girl, complete an adoption application today at rarerescue.org!

STEPS TO ADOPT:

Read the adoptable’s bio below, including their adoption fee

Go to RARErescue.org and Read our ADOPTION PROCESS page under the "Adopt" section

Complete the  DOG ADOPTION INTEREST FORM (located on our website RARErescue.org)

We understand that it is important to you to find the right fit for your family. We feel the same way! The DOG ADOPTION INTEREST FORM is important and REQUIRED for this reason.

All of our Adoptables are:

Spayed/neutered; Up to date on vaccines; Heartworm tested if six months or older (& kept on heartworm preventative and treated for heartworms if positive when entering our program): Microchipped prior to adoption

BREEDS: We are not breed experts. The breed(s) listed for each adoptable are best guesses or suggestions.

PLEASE NOTE: We are a non-profit organization without municipal or government funding. Veterinary/Medical expenses are constant for an animal rescue. Our adoption fees not only help to provide vetting and care for the animal being adopted, but they also help to cover heartworm treatments and other treatable ailments that many animals, that would otherwise be euthanized, need in order to be made available for adoption.

Please understand that adopting an animal is a LIFETIME COMMITMENT to that animal and there will be veterinary expenses throughout their life that can often cost several hundreds, if not thousands of dollars (without pet insurance), especially without annual checkups and preventative care.  As a potential family for this pet you are responsible for their safety and that includes keeping them on your property.

***If you are not in the middle Tennessee area, transport can potentially be arranged to approved homes, depending on distance and local adaptability. We normally do not allow adoptions outside of 1.5 hours driving distance.
